Happy 2020! On this first day of the New Year, I just wanted to wish you a wonderful start. If today isn't all you thought it would be, don't worry. The sun will rise tomorrow. There are 364 days left in the year. We can restart, reset... begin again. And again. And again. Don't give up on what you want for yourself, and I won't either. We can do this!

Big Hugs & Dreams!

I see you December, but you did SNEAK up on me! I see you, lookin' at me, lookin' at you, looking at me. Ha, ha, ha! There's so much to look forward to this month. And so much that needs to be done!

Hmnnn...  for starters:
Family Get-Togethers,
Potlucks with Friends,
Christmas Parties,
Holiday Parties,
Work Parties,
Choosing a Christmas Tree... Faux or Natural?
Transporting said Christmas Tree,
Pulling out Christmas Tree Decorations,
Decorating the Christmas Tree,
Buying Christmas Cards*,
Writing Christmas Cards*,
Stamping Christmas Cards*,
Addressing Christmas Cards*,
*The Card-process has several steps you know,
As does Buying Presents,
Wrapping Presents,
Delivering Presents in Person,
Sending Presents via the Mail...
And I haven't even gotten into food preparation!

We will get it ALL DONE though. We always do. Our efforts aren't wasted. The love & care we put into the season is what makes it special for everyone.

Whatever you celebrate this time of year...
Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays!
Happy New Year!
- in advance -

Love,
Tiffany

How is life in your neighborhood? It's been a bit hectic around here. The good news is that the city is re-paving our street and driveway. The bad news is...well, ...the city is re-paving our street and driveway. Ha, ha, ha, ha!

At least they are doing one side of the street at a time. It just happens to be our side of the street. Everyone is in a mad rush in the morning to pull their cars out of the driveway, and park across the street. What's nice is that they knock on your door to make sure you do it. "The City" starts promptly at 7am.

It's been a bonding experience for our block. We all compare notes on how we think the city is progressing. In the beginning, we were all suspicious. Everyone had their cameras out to document any possible damage to their property. Ha, ha, ha!

However, the construction workers won us over. They are friendly, considerate, and work incredibly efficiently! It's been amazing to watch. Our cats are even getting used to the noise outside, and go about their regular routine (which includes a lot of napping).

I hope all is well on your block.
Hugs!

My Tuxie Boy! (2019)

This is one of my favorite guys in the world, besides my husband! Mr. T is a tuxedo cat, but he's quite informal in person. He, he, he...

Here are a few of my favorite things about him:

When he gets excited, he does a little jump on his hind legs.

He gives the sweetest, "Eskimo kiss", after he gets a tummy rub!

He does a little prance around the kitchen when he's happy to see me!

He loves to cuddle with his sisters. It's an adorable thing to see...

Lastly, he uses his paws like I use my hands. One time, I saw him tap his sister on the head when she was being difficult! I've seen him do it more than once, and it always makes me laugh.

Do you have any pets? I didn't have many pets growing up. Having Mr. T in my life has really opened up a softer side of me. I just love taking care of him ... or is it me that's being taken care of?

Hug your loved ones!

I am still continuing to write letters to people in need that I've found through the "More Love Letters" website. It's my hope to write at least one person every month. So many people are going through tough times.

It's strange, but writing to others to make them feel better, makes me feel better. It gets me out of thinking about myself and my problems. It makes the world feel smaller, more intimate. Other people struggle, too,  --- not just you and me.

You can always look around and find someone doing "better" than you (however you define that word), and someone doing worse... While we shouldn't compare ourselves to others,  it's good to recognize that everyone struggles at some point in their lives. The more we can openly talk about it, and share our pain with others, the better.

I think by sharing our stories of hardship, it gives others permission to admit that it's okay not to have everything figured out right now. It's okay to NOT be perfect. It's okay to be yourself.

We all struggle, and we can make it through TOGETHER.

With Love,
Tiffany
